About Margriet Sitskoorn

Speaker Margriet Sitskoorn makes neuropsychology accessible to a wider audience. She not only shares knowledge but also shows how you can apply it to achieve your goals—whether in daily life or within your organization. From speaker to author Margriet Sitskoorn is a much sought-after speaker and advisor. In her lectures, she demonstrates how scientific knowledge can be used in a positive way to achieve goals, live a happier life, and how it connects to the business world. She conducts research on the relationship between our brains and our behavior. She focuses on the question of how we can develop our brains by changing our behavior and environment, as well as how to improve the performance of (top) athletes and (top) managers. These topics are also reflected in her lectures. Do you want to be successful in the long term in this rapidly changing world? Then you need your brain—the executive brain. Margriet explains it in detail during her sessions. Alongside her scientific work, she writes columns for various magazines and is a welcome guest on TV programs such as De IQ Quiz, Jinek, Pauw, and Van Liempt Live. She also shares her knowledge of science and neuropsychology through her books. For example, IK2: De beste versie van jezelf (2014) is about achieving your goals in a stimulus- and stress-filled world. It is a self-help book with a scientific basis on how the brain works and how this can positively influence your objectives. Questions central to HersenHack (2019) include: “Why are we susceptible to fake news?” and “Why can’t we resist the temptations of things like social media?” In this book, Margriet shares how easily the brain can be hacked and what we can do to protect ourselves against it. In every role, she makes neuropsychology accessible—not only sharing the knowledge but also showing how to apply it in daily life. Professor of Clinical Neuropsychology Margriet Sitskoorn is Professor of Clinical Neuropsychology at Tilburg University. Based on this research, new training and selection methods are being developed for the world of top sports and business.
