Daan Boom is a multi-talented creative. As a moderator, he uses humor and creativity to connect the audience and set the right tone, ensuring a captivating event with meaningful content and plenty of smiles.
From Comedian to Program Maker
Daan discovered his creativity at a young age and has been a program maker, musician, and theater artist since he was thirteen. In 2008, he and friends Stijn van Vliet and Jasper Demollin won the national Kunstbende with absurdist cabaret. From 2010 to 2013, Daan toured with musical comedian Hans Liberg as a sidekick, writing texts and directing the show.
He brought his ideas to life through social media, launching the YouTube channel Streetlab, where four friends explore social experiments based on their own curiosities. The KRO-NCRV adapted the concept for television, airing it on NPO3. Since then, Daan has created several programs for NPO, including Kelderklasse, Betreden op Eigen Risico, Hotel Romantiek, Camping de Liefde, and The FOMO Show.
In 2020, Daan combined all his talents in a theater show featuring cabaret, rap, and keyboard performance, touring across the Netherlands until the pandemic halted live events. During lockdown, he lifted spirits with his home concerts and pursued his dream of becoming a successful rapper. Filming his journey on YouTube as The Dean, he successfully toured sold-out venues in 2022.
