Lucia Frederica Rijker, also known as “Lady Tyson,” started with judo at a young age but began kickboxing at fifteen, ultimately winning four world titles. After those successes, she focused on boxing, securing two more world titles. She is no longer active in the ring, with her last fight taking place in 2004.
Actress
Alongside her boxing career, Lucia built a career in acting. She appeared in the documentary Shadow Boxers, the film Rollerball, and the TV series JAG and The L Word. In 2004, she played the significant role of “Billie the Blue Bear” in Million Dollar Baby. She was also featured in the documentary Bittersweet, which focuses on Australian boxer Diana Prazak and her trainer, Lucia herself.
Dream School
In the years that followed, Lucia appeared on various TV programs such as 71° Noord and Sterren Springen. She also served as a trainer and coach on Veronica’s Fightmaster. Since 2017, she has been coaching on the TV program Dream School, inspiring school leavers to develop themselves. Her career combines an impressive record in both sports and television.
