Sessions

The world is more unpredictable than ever and presents business leaders with numerous economic, geopolitical, social, and environmental challenges. Some see these Never Normal developments as a threat, but this Executive Masterclass with Peter Hinssen and CX and customer culture expert Steven Van Belleghem is designed to show you the opportunities from two perspectives:

  • How can you turn these challenges into innovative business strategies?

  • How can you design a culture that actively puts customers and their needs at the centre of your organization?

The world is more fluid and unpredictable than ever and presents business leaders with numerous economic, geopolitical, social, and environmental challenges. Some see these Never Normal developments as a threat, but this Executive Masterclass by world-leading innovation experts Peter Hinssen and Pascal Coppens is designed to show you the opportunities:

  • How can you turn these Never Normal challenges into innovative business strategies?

  • What can companies learn from both Western and Chinese innovation?

Today, we are experiencing a powerful cocktail of global platforms, information, intelligence, and automation that is accelerating the pace of change. But technology is no longer the biggest driver of disruption. What is coming our way is ecological, biological, social, and geopolitical in nature, and this is only the beginning. These many disruptions will develop into seismic shocks that will completely overturn the way we live and work. Think of the rising sea levels we may experience in the coming decades. Or pandemics such as COVID-19. Or the cold (trade) war between the US and China.

In today’s market, ‘normal’ is constantly being redefined. Are you ready for it? Is your organisation? In this keynote, Peter Hinssen reveals how companies, leaders, and employees will need to adapt to survive and thrive in the Never Normal.

Unicorn start-ups are brilliant. But let’s be honest: very few of us will start one or work for one. Most of us are connected to large companies that often struggle to remain relevant to the ever-changing customer. That is why this keynote focuses on a creature that is just as magical, but perhaps offers more realistic inspiration: the Phoenix. These are companies that, like this mythical bird, are able to reinvent themselves time and time again. They repeatedly rise from the ashes of the old and come back stronger than ever. These are the Walmarts, Volvos, Disneys, Apples, Microsofts, Ping Ans, Assa Abloys, and AT&Ts of this world.

Everyone is talking about AI, but the discussion tends to swing between the two extremes of hype and doom. In this keynote, filled with practical examples and cases, Peter Hinssen aims to demystify AI and offer his audience an in-depth and nuanced perspective on both the challenges and the immense potential of this technology.

These are the four pillars of his presentation:

  • Evolution of Artificial Intelligence

  • Application of AI

  • Implementation of AI

  • Phoenix Potential

In the rapidly changing landscape of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the discussion often swings between extremes: hype versus doom and West versus East (especially China). This joint keynote, featuring innovation strategy and technology expert Peter Hinssen and China keynote speaker Pascal Coppens, aims to move beyond these two extremes and offers a nuanced yet in-depth exploration of both the transformative potential and the challenges of AI.
