Lessons for Entrepreneurs from an Internet Cowboy
Ronnie graduated in the early 1990s from the Utrecht School of the Arts, Faculty of Image and Media Technology. With his graduation project – an interactive TV programme for children – he won a Golden Award at the New York Festivals. He started his professional career at a media company in Hilversum. It soon became clear that working for a boss was not for Ronnie. He embarked on the entrepreneurial path and became a board member at an internet agency during the golden years of the internet in the late 1990s. On paper, he became a multimillionaire, but lost his wealth just a few years later when the internet bubble burst. He wrote about his adventures in the book Lessons for 'Ondernemerslessen van een Internetcowboy', which was named Entrepreneurial Book of the Year immediately after its release.
