In this energetic and educational session, Matthijs Akkenaar, better known as the AI Speedmaster, takes audiences into the world of AI and humanoids. He demonstrates how the intersection of humans and machines is transforming our society, the workplace, and our understanding of what it means to be human. Through live demonstrations, audience interaction, and humour, he makes complex technology tangible and easy to understand.
A unique part of the session is the live introduction to the humanoid Akkie and the robot dog Akkie, allowing audiences not only to learn about humanoids but to experience them firsthand. Participants leave the session inspired and with a new perspective on the future of AI. In May 2025, Matthijs received the AI Speaker Award, with the jury praising his ability to make AI accessible, interactive, and relevant for a wide audience.
