In this unique show, one or two mystery guests are involved. Matthijs Akkenaar, aka “AI Flitsmeester”, known for his AI flashcards and author of several books, presents an inspiring lecture on AI and humanoids.
Matthijs wears a T-shirt with the word “(Cy)borg”. This refers to the intersection between humans and machines and demonstrates how this technology is changing our society, workplace and perspective on humanity.
At the end of the session, the audience has a unique experience with a mystery guest: their first live introduction to one of the most advanced humanoids of today, accompanied by a robotic dog. Participants leave the lecture not only inspired, but also with a new frame of reference: this is the day they truly experience what humanoids mean.
Matthijs Akkenaar is known as the AI Flitsmeester and was named AI Speaker of the Year at the AI Awards in 2025. For years, he has been an enthusiastic speaker and author of books on digital resilience, 21st-century skills and AI.
From the beginning of his career in education, Matthijs has encountered obstacles that hinder people’s development. As a director at a large online education provider in Eindhoven, he gained extensive experience in how people navigate the digital world. He advocates for swift action in response to the exponential growth of AI and proposes developing HR policies now to prevent the gap between digitally literate people and those with limited digital skills from widening.
