As the maître d’ on First Dates, Denice sees first-hand what happens when people want to show who they truly are but are held back by tension, judgement and insecurity. Within minutes, she knows how to create an environment where people feel safe enough to open up. She brings that experience into organisations and teams.

Denice has more than eighteen years of experience as a coach and trainer and now calls herself an Innervoice Activator. She looks beyond behaviour and resistance to explore what lies beneath. Because what may look like unwillingness can actually be a form of protection. And when people feel safe enough to become visible, space for movement and change emerges.

Her own story plays an important role in this. Denice was bullied as a child, spent years adapting to other people’s expectations and made herself smaller in the process. Her journey took her from Amsterdam’s nightlife and stand-up comedy to television, coaching and the speaking stage. She draws on these experiences to challenge others to listen to their own voice and dare to take up space.

A keynote by Denice is anything but a standard talk. Denice can take on a variety of roles within an event. As a keynote speaker, she speaks about authentic communication, visibility and vulnerability, translating her experiences into insights people can put into practice straight away.

As a moderator and host, she combines her experience in nightlife, stand-up comedy and television. She senses the energy in the room, connects speakers with the audience and knows how to create space precisely when things become challenging.

Denice also delivers interactive workshops and sessions in which participants practise skills such as speaking with impact, listening and storytelling. With her Dare to Shine Experience, she brings together storytelling, live interaction and reflection in an experience that turns the audience into active participants.

Denice is also available as an interviewer, panel moderator and creative event partner. In the latter role, she gets involved before a single speaker has been booked, starting with one central question: what should people take away from this event? From there, she considers the structure of the programme and the moments needed to elevate an event from good to unforgettable.
