Guido van Winden graduated with an impressive CV, including a board year, extensive experience and the creation of the popular podcast De Keuzecast. In more than 100 episodes, he spoke with well-known (former) students about study choices, life lessons and everything that is not covered in a textbook. He now brings these insights together in his first book: an accessible, unconventional and honest story about student life, including doubts, freedom and everything in between. Not intended as a handbook, but as a guide full of stories, humour and relatable experiences. Guido is someone who not only listens, but truly hears what is going on among young people and young adults. This makes him not only strong in terms of content, but also credible and engaging on stage.

Guido van Winden as a Moderator

As a moderator, Guido immediately engages the audience. He asks sharp questions, keeps the pace going and ensures that insightful conversations actually lead somewhere. His strength lies in his natural style: open, attentive and with the necessary sense of perspective. He connects speakers with one another and with the audience, while keeping the programme focused and lively. Through his experience with podcast formats, he knows exactly how to structure and deepen a conversation and how to encourage interaction in a relaxed way. Whether it concerns student events, social panels, topics relevant to young professionals or events focused on education, the labour market or real estate, Guido creates space for curiosity and exchange.

Career

Guido started his career as a student with a fascination for choices and how difficult they can sometimes be to make. Together with Simon van Teutem, he founded De Keuzecast, a podcast that helps young people step outside their bubble and reflect on their path. The series appeared in the charts several times and was picked up by various media outlets. He is currently the founder of production company Podkasteel and host of two ongoing podcasts: Baanbrekers, in which he helps students and young professionals navigate the labour market, and AI, je nieuwe collega, which he creates together with Milou Brand to make AI understandable for the workplace. He is also the host of the podcast Jong geleerd, Oud gebouwd, in which he discusses current issues in the real estate sector with professionals from the field.

In addition to his media productions, Guido is socially active. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of RSC/RVSV, where he previously also served as chairman. As its youngest supervisory board member, he acts as a bridge between students and external stakeholders such as universities, media and alumni. He is also the initiator of StartendWonen, a project focused on collective home ownership for first-time buyers, offering a practical response to the housing market shortage.

What drives Guido is his passion for helping young people navigate the first stage of adult life. With his fresh perspective, sharp observations and approachable style, he is a knowledgeable and reliable moderator who knows exactly what is happening among younger generations.
