By now, multi-talented Iris uses her fluent pen and quick wit to present the journalistic documentary series Iris onderzoekt(NTR) about mixed relationships, while also writing a weekly column for the newspaper Metro about the background to current affairs, trends, and other topics that concern people in their early thirties.
Moderator and Debate Leader
Keynote speaker Iris is gaining increasing recognition through her work as a moderator and debate leader. Seemingly effortlessly, she successfully leads a wide range of events for companies and organizations, as she has previously done to great satisfaction for clients such as De Volkskrant, Pakhuis de Zwijger, De Balie, De Media100, and Rabobank.
Art, Culture and Glamour
Iris van Lunenburg is a presenter and columnist. She can currently be seen on SBS6 as an expert on the program Shownieuws. She also regularly appears on various talk shows, including Op1 (discussing the American elections) and De vooravond (covering topics including Meghan Markle and Beyoncé). She is also working on a new podcast. Iris is interested in news, politics, and societal developments, but her heart also beats faster for popular culture, art, and the more beautiful, glamorous things in life. Combining these two sides in her work is something she particularly enjoys.
University
Iris was admitted to BNN University, where she learned everything about the television-making profession. From directing to editorial work and from production to presenting, she learned the finer points of the profession from some of the best people in the television industry. Alongside BNN University, she also attended the BKB Academy in Amsterdam, a program for young people with an above-average interest in politics, news, and society.
Society Column Schuim
Soon afterwards, the career of the broadly interested Iris took off. In 2014, she became a reporter for Het Parool, where she wrote the daily society column Schuim. In her own distinctive way, she created a report every day from a book launch, political drinks reception, or premiere. A year later, she also started working as a back-page columnist for business magazine Quote, immersing herself in a world that was not her own: that of gold diggers and the men who love them. In 2015, she joined the program Jan Rijdt Rond (KRO-NCRV) as a reporter, searching for surprising and thought-provoking stories. Not long afterwards, she presented the weekly program Iris test for LINDA.tv, in which she explored how women respond to current societal issues. As a vlogger, she also created the series Iris in Ivoorkust for the Dutch Red Cross and Serious Request, about the treatment of pneumonia in the African country. She also made the mini-talk show Wat zou jij doen? in collaboration with Netflix.
