As a young boy, Jan van Halst has just one dream: to become a professional footballer. At the age of 17, he is scouted by FC Utrecht. His dream becomes a reality, and Jan plays professional football for no less than 16 years.
At the age of 34, Jan retires from professional football and joins various TV channels as a football analyst. To this day, he analyses matches from the Eredivisie, European Championships, World Cups, the UEFA Champions League, and the Premier League using AKI.
Jan van Halst has held various commercial and managerial positions, and since 2019, he has run his own coaching and training agency, “Van baas naar coach.” He offers various customised training programmes focused on leadership and team development.
