Jörgen Raymann believes in the power of people. Effective and thoughtful self-leadership helps individuals discover their strengths, identify what they enjoy, understand what makes them happy and recognize what motivates them. Jörgen inspires people to take action and encourages them to be open to one another, learn from each other and respect each other's individual value.
“Inspiration is the source of success. It starts with the right mindset, continuously developing yourself and your employees, working with passion and enjoyment, making the most of each other's strengths and respecting everyone's individual value. Resilience is essential, enabling you to bounce back and change course when a crisis strikes. I love inspiring and advising people. By drawing on my own experiences and using humour, I make these topics personal and accessible.”
Background
As a child, Jörgen was fascinated by television. At the age of 17, he presented his first television quiz show in Suriname. After the comedy evenings at his restaurant in Suriname proved successful, he was invited to create a New Year's Eve program for Surinamese television. He also produced Examen TV, a programme for pre-university secondary school students preparing for their final exams, and Raymann praat laat.
In 1998, he brought his theatre show to the Netherlands. During the tour, he was approached by the NPS (now NTR) and invited to audition for a new television programme produced by Men at Work TV Produkties, where he later became a co-owner for a period. Following an audition and a pilot recording, he became the presenter of The Comedy Factory.
When he moved to the Netherlands in 2001, he was offered the opportunity to host a late-night program for NTR. This became Raymann is Laat!, which grew into one of the Netherlands' most popular and longest-running late-night shows.
In 2005, he won the Gouden Beeld award for Television Personality of the Year. He also received the Cosmic Award and the Kleuren Award in recognition of his contributions to multicultural society.
Motivational Speaking
In 2008, Jörgen met Stedman Graham, who inspired him to become a motivator. Together with his coach Ron and Ron's daughter, Dionne Abdoelhafizkhan, he developed Hi5: a practical approach to using your hand as a compass for success. Through these tools, they connected 3,500 young people with businesses, helping them secure internships and jobs.
The Hi5 Movement was recognized by the Martin Luther King Foundation in Atlanta. It became the only organization outside the United States to receive the right to present the annual MLK Award.
Lenard & Lenard
Since 2020, Jörgen has been actively involved with Lenard & Lenard as Chief Inspirational Officer. Initially, he focused on helping companies support employee development and assisting entrepreneurs in building resilience through mindset sessions.
Drawing on a lifetime of experience with different cultures and his commitment to supporting minority groups, he now focuses primarily on multiplicity and a different perspective on diversity and inclusion. His approach starts with recognizing the strength of the whole: multiplicity. He encourages people to focus on common ground rather than differences, to consider the business case for inclusion and to avoid singling out any one group as the cause of a problem.
Leadership and workplace happiness are also topics he enjoys speaking about, as they are essential to, or closely connected with, multiplicity. Ultimately, his goal is to help individuals and organizations realize their full potential.
