As a spoken word artist (a performer who delivers poetic texts with rhythm and conviction), poetic columnist, and strategic creative, Reinier tells stories that resonate and move people into action. He brings your story to life on stage, on paper, or through audiovisual media. With spoken word performances, opening videos, live wrap-ups, and other audiovisual experiences, he makes the essence of your message tangible and creates an unforgettable experience.
Career
From a young age, Reinier devoted every free moment to writing music and studied psychology. His deep fascination with language and performance has led him to use words to make impact. For Man Bijt Hond, he contributed to the segment Dichter op de Werkvloer, composing odes to underappreciated professions such as truck drivers and nurses. On Villa VdB on NPO Radio 1, he wrote and performed weekly poetic commentary on current events—lighthearted, positive, and sharp. Today, he is a poetic columnist for Vroege Vogels and writes and performs for a wide range of organizations and events.
Reinier as Dichtwater
As Dichtwater, Reinier knows how to move an audience with a poetic story written especially for them, always with a positive or hopeful approach. He creates odes to a profession, perspectives on the future, celebrations of milestones, or wrap-ups of inspiring days. He delivers his performance with rhythm and power, optionally accompanied by music or as a voice-over for an opening video or brand film. Each piece is crafted with care, listening deeply, and executed strategically, thoughtfully, creatively, and always with meaning.
