Ronit Palache (1984) studied journalism and worked as a journalist at Weekblad Elsevier for three years.
Editorial Work
She worked as an editor for the radio program Simek ’s Nachts and spent ten years working in the literary world at Prometheus Publishing House. Here, she worked as an editor, headed the publicity department, and served as Foreign Rights Manager.
Rode Hoed
Together with Volkskrant journalist Corine Koole, she hosted the talk show Onbekend Bemind at the Rode Hoed for five years, focusing on interviews with unknown Dutch people. In 2015, she organized an international symposium at the Rode Hoed with the aim of symbolically reinstating Spinoza’s honor posthumously and lifting his ban.
Work and Career
Ronit now hosts a talk show at the Academische Club, where she interviews academics. Palache writes on a freelance basis for various newspapers and magazines and regularly interviews writers and other public figures in several languages. She worked for the television program Pauw until it ended and now works for its successor, Op1. She has also published two books: Ontroerende Onzin, about Jewish identity in the Netherlands today (2016, Prometheus Publishing House), and an anthology of the work of journalist Ischa Meijer in the prestigious Privé-domein series published by De Arbeiderspers: Ik heb niets tegen antisemieten, ik lééf ervan.
In November 2020, a second volume in this series featuring the work of Renate Rubinstein was published by her.
