Siham Raijoul is Highly Driven
Driven with a soft Brabant accent, as she was born and raised in Veghel, in the province of North Brabant. Siham is known for the NOS Jeugdjournaal and has been presenting the news program Hart van Nederland since February 2020.
Career
To get to know Siham better, we go back to Brabant, where the roots of her journalism career lie. As a child, she already loved giving presentations and book reports and always approached the preparation thoroughly. Her passion for research and storytelling came in handy when she went on to study Journalism in Tilburg. During her studies, Siham completed an internship at Omroep Brabant, where she was subsequently offered a position as an editor. She grew into a reporter and presenter for Brabant Nieuws. This is where she developed her passion for television and entered the profession. She then joined the NOS Jeugdjournaal, where her dreams became reality sooner than expected.
NOS Jeugdjournaal Internship
After completing an internship at the NOS Jeugdjournaal, Siham stayed on as an editor. A year later, she took a screen test and became a presenter and reporter. She greatly enjoyed exploring children's stories on a daily basis and making the news accessible to a young audience. Her ten years at the NOS Jeugdjournaal can be summed up briefly: she joined as an intern and left years later as an experienced reporter and presenter with a wealth of journalistic experience.
Journalism
Alongside covering the daily news, Siham made a documentary, presented the election broadcast with all party leaders in the studio, and also took on assignments for NOS Events. For these events, she covered occasions such as King's Day and Liberation Day. Siham is also active as an event host, a jury member for debate and reading competitions, and a voice-over artist. Her is a voice you are unlikely to forget, thanks to her charming soft Brabant accent.
Drive
What you probably don't know about Siham is that her name means “arrows” in Arabic. For the past year, she has also been directing those arrows towards surfing. Her holiday destination now has to offer high waves, sunshine, and a beautiful beach. On the water, she is constantly working to improve her skills in the sport. And the drive she already showed when giving book presentations as a child certainly comes in handy.
