Career

Comedian and stand-up comedian Ruud Smulders rose to national prominence with his much-discussed Minuut van Ruudon BNNVARA’s talk show De Vooravond. He can be heard weekly on Spijkers met Koppen, achieved one of the best-viewed comedy debuts with BRUUD on NPO 3, and has his own satirical talk show, RRIM, on Comedy Central. More recently, he has become the leading man of Killer Camp on Prime Video.

De Blonde Jongens en Tim

Ruud has been performing in theatres for many years. He initially performed for several years with his physical comedy group De Blonde Jongens en Tim, with whom he won the Groninger Cabaret Festival in 2014. He later continued both as a solo performer and in projects with comedians such as Silvester Zwaneveld, Emiel van Jong (Schudden), and Guido Weijers.
