Entrepreneur
Hans Biesheuvel grew up in an entrepreneurial family. After completing secondary education (VWO), he started working at the Ministry of Transport and Water Management while studying in the evenings at HEAO. In 1988, he founded a technical wholesale company called Biesheuvel Techniek.
Mechanics Company and Habest Holding
Two years later, he took over the mechanics company Biesheuvel Groep from his father and grandfather. He later sold the company and founded the investment firm Habest Holding.
Chairman
Hans became chairman of MKB Nederland and joined the Social and Economic Council. During his tenure, bankruptcies in the retail sector increased significantly, and he focused particularly on this sector. He took a critical stance toward the banking sector and worked on issues surrounding credit provision.
Entrepreneurial Netherlands
After several years, Hans Biesheuvel returned to entrepreneurship and founded a new business association: ONL for Entrepreneurs.
ONL focuses on representing the interests of entrepreneurs and aims to make the Netherlands more entrepreneurial. In addition to his work for ONL, Hans Biesheuvel serves as advisor and supervisory board member for various companies.
