Marcel Levi is a professor of Medicine at UvA and UCL and works as an internist at Amsterdam UMC. Until April 2021, he was the CEO of University College London Hospitals. He led nine London hospitals during the coronavirus crisis. He is an expert in leadership, healthcare, ethics, innovation, digitalization, and team performance. In his lecture, he discusses what it is like to lead in healthcare during times of crisis and how to create an organizational culture in which teams can bring out the best in themselves.

About Marcel Levi
Marcel Levi is Professor of Medicine at the University of Amsterdam and University College London and works as an internist at Amsterdam UMC. Until April 2021, he was CEO of University College London Hospitals, where he led nine London hospitals during the coronavirus crisis. Before that, he was for many years Chairman of the Executive Board of the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. Today, Marcel is President of the Dutch Research Council (NWO), one of the most important science funding bodies in the Netherlands. In 2016, Marcel was named Dutchman of the Year by Elsevier. He regularly shares his views on healthcare in the Netherlands in the media.
