Joris was born into a family where the Baby Boomer met the Idealist, growing up with the question of why people leave the ideals they are so passionate about at home when they go to work.
Purpose and Profit
Fascinated by what people can create together, he is driven to build a world where organizations succeed in both purpose and profit. He combines a breakthrough optimistic approach (“it can be done, let’s explore how”) with a realistic view of organizational and market development potential. Constructively critical, energetic, and pragmatic, Joris co-founded Synergie in 1995 and, together with his partners, developed it into the strategic agency it is today, supporting organizations aiming for ambitious impact and growth.

And Now?
Are companies responsible for depleting the earth and exploiting people? Unfortunately, in many cases, yes. Often not intentionally or with bad intent, but the real cost of much entrepreneurship is painfully confronting. In the information age, awareness is growing that things can and must be done differently. Together with Ariane Roos, Joris wrote the book En Nu Dan, sharing insights and experiences from within and outside Synergie to provide tools for anyone ready to take the step toward entrepreneurship that leaves the world better than they found it.
